Sara Hugelshofer

The Thurgau native soprano Sara Hugelshofer obtained her singing and education diploma with Professor Marianne Kohler (BUA) and later completed her studies with Dorothea Galli.

Sara was also an active participant at master classes with Prof. Ernst Haefliger (Zurich), Kristina Laki (Hungary), Prof. Dr. phil. Peter Anton Ling (Hannover). In addition Ms. Hugelshofer also participated and completed studies at master classes in Austria with Mirella Freni (Bologna).

Ms. Hugelshofer’s many operatic roles throughout Switzerland and Germany include “Ciboletta” in “A Night in Venice”, “Cupid” in “Orpheus in the Underworld”, “Etelka” in “The Hungarian wedding”, “Bronislava in “Der Bettelstudent”, “Klärchen” in “Weissen Rössl”, “Pepi” in “Wiener Blut”, “Adele” in “Fledermaus”, the role of “Frasquita” in the opera Carmen and “Hannerl” in the world premiere of “Der Kaiser im Rottal” by Christian Auer and Karl-Heinz Hummel.

Additionally Sara Hugelshofer was invited to sing at the funding of Senzaltro Lucerne Foundation promoting young talented opera singers in Switzerland. In 2006 Sara sings in the concert series dedicated to Mozart’s 250th Birthday in Passau, Germany. Later this year she becomes a member of Jungbrunnen Theaters Zürich.

Sara is a member of SWISSMAID VOICE since 2010.
